Windows Vista image tags

Do the customly added Windows Vista image tags stay in the image properties if transferred from one computer to another? I have spent over 2 hours tweaking my photo collection.

The tags are apart of the EXIF data so they do stay if you were to copy them to another computer, webspace, etc. The only way that I've seen the tags removed is if you Save as in a non-vista compliant PSP app.
