I was wondering if anyone else felt that window blinds slows you computer down, or is it just me.

Depends how much resources you have open and how many applications you have running.

it depends on your hardware. if your hardware can handle it. then it shouldn't be a problem.

You most likely will notice very little difference. I believe there is a thing that allows you to use themes from Windows Blinds and Theme XP and such without actually using that third-party software. Let me dig it up.

.dll hack?

StyleXP is also another nice program for skinning Windows... it comes with an option to not startup on a boot of Windows.

nope, windows blinds tweaks the UI, it doesn't just use the default ones with a different appearance like styleXP

StyleXP also does custom skins but when you don't want it be a running resource, you will have to use the cheap "Classic Windows" themes, but If you allow it to be a running resource you can use the really nice ones.
