Vista RAM Requirements

Still planning out my Linux/Vista computer that I am going to build this summer. I have snagged 2GB (2x1GB) of Crucial Ballistix RAM off Newegg for cheap. I plan on doing some moderate gaming in Vista, but am trying to keep things on a tight budget as much as possible. Do you guys think I will regret only getting 2GB for 64 bit Windows Vista?

yes...... (makes post longer)
I know Vista needs as much RAM as possible, and also, what version of Vista are you getting? The higher versions need more RAM

I would have thought 2GB would have been fine for a budget Vista gaming PC - I'm running with 2GB and haven't come across anything Vista can't handle

Don't forget, if you need more memory in the future you can always stick another 2GB in.

Will be running Vista Business. I get it free from my university. Good point about upgrading to the 4GB if need be.

Why were both of you awake at 5AM and looking at this forum!?!
