Udfform causing problems

Hey all. Whenever I try to use my cdrom drive to run cds it opens my packet cd program and wont let me do anything unless I eject the cd and use it in the burner. I then have a program called Udfform running afterwards. This seems to be a driver associated with a program I have called CeQuadret for burning. Alas CeQuadret is no more, bought by Roxio and not supported. I dont know if I should uninstall its drivers and reinstall them to see if this helps or not? I need to figure out something until I can get my dvd burner and software and pitch this horrible program. I think I'll turn the drive into an expensive clay pigeon and see what #7 birdshot does to it.

If you are trying to run an audio CD can you open it up from a media program? or if you are running a data/application/game disk can you type in the autorun/setup file in command prompt / run menu?

I generally open a data cd by double clicking my computer and then opening the correct cd drive. When using the cdrom drive I double click my comp and it hangs up there and wont correct itself until I eject the disc. The cdburner drive doesnt have this problem. After ejecting the udfform exe shows up in running programs when u hit cntrl alt delete. Okay I just tried it right now and media player pops up and starts playing without being prompted. I closed it and now can open it by double clicking my comp and udfform is not present in running apps. I'm not sure why this is working now. This is an audio disc and I do still have problems with data discs. Im not sure what you want me to type in the start run screen.

I.E. - If you are running a data disk that is an installer for say Microsoft Works, sometimes there is a file that you can run such as D:\setup.exe

For other data files such as documents, try opening them through that program, not through my computer.

Through what program? These are simple data discs with no programs on them. Are you saying if they are mpeg files to open them with media player?

You could... and may want to just install a different burning program.

Have you removed all burning applications from your PC? Including Roxio? If not, do so and reboot. Insert the CD to see if this still happens. If not, re-install Roxio. There are some free burning apps in our Handy Tools.
