[tip] gpedit.msc

I'm a slow learner when I'm not to motivated in Xp, because I saw this in a post after I found out about it, but my tip would be:

gpedit.msc

this tool/program is more of a system admin tool to tighten up your security any thing from hide/disable use of storage drives, to making WinXp balloon tool tips not pop up anymore.

(note: this may not run on WinXp Home Edition, & does and will overide all users, including admin)

to use click start, run, type gpedit.msc. From there you can explore the continual possiblites that it contains

Also, if anyone is familiar to poledit.exe for Win 9x, it is similar to.

This is a good tip. But I need to express that if you're tweaking gpedit, becareful, you can lock your self out of certain things.

If you anyone reading this is running a domain with Acticve Directory (if you are, you probably know this already), use its group policy methods as you can apply it to OUs, which then can contain user accounts, groups or computer accounts.
