2t2 crash is on a distinguished road to becoming a computer geek

my norton 05 is totally up to date and yet i have a virus on my computer.

object name C:\WINDOWS\httpfilter.dll
Virus Name Downloader.Trojan
Action Taken Access to the file was denied.

what do i have to do now because some sorry low-life cannot stop doinking around and causing problems?
what the **** is wrong with people?

quaranteen it or scan again in safe mode..........not sure of NAV05 works in safemode though. also try other AV programs if one does not work. some other good ones are AVG and SAV coperate.

You'll have to boot into Safe Mode to get rid of it.
To boot into Safe Mode, tap F8 repeatedly after you get past the BIOS during start up.

Have you tried running HijackThis in safemode? I'm sure it will pick it up. Also, try the most common options. Disable system restore, check for the existance of C:\WINDOWS\httpfilter.dll, unregister the dll (start >> run >> REGSVR32 /U C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\httpfilter.dll)

Do an adaware scan, delete your temp files. Remember do all this is safe mode and you should be able to get rid of it.
