Got a new ASUS (OS W7) to replace old reliable 10year old Toshiba.

Used PhotoShop CS4 only for emergency e-mail situations on Toshiba. I transferred the CS4 program to my ASUS but now have a 148:3 (licensing) error.

How do I deal with this? Any help appreciated ... James

I don't know if this will help in your situation but you can try running the licensing tool from Adobe. It's available for download over there.

When you install licensed Adobe programs such as this when you have entered your license key the program registers that with Adobe. This then prevents you from installing a further copy on another system i.e. a Fraud. So, if you want to move the package you need to hook the original system up online and then do an unistall. This will then go and de-register that copy so you can then re-install on a different system.

I suspect that what is happening is that as you have tried to install the software it sees your license code as being already in use. You need to contact Adobe to say that the original system has dies so you weren't able to do an uninstall.
