Servers

My:

1.2Ghz Duron Processor
512mb RAM
40GB HDD
250-300w PSU (not sure)

....will soon be made redundant. I want to use it as its a cool little machine. I thought of using it as a server? I would use it as a print server, and fileserver. Surely it would cope? I don't want to mess around with domains - the computers will belong to my workgroup. This is likely what will happen:

SERVER - in 'network cupboard' which will be built, running Windows 2003 Server
\/
ROUTER and MODEM - - - - - - - -(wireless) > LAPTOP
\/
COMPUTER 1, COMPUTER 2, COMPUTER 3

If I could get into something easy to use like Paint, rather than the GIMP (im on Linux atm), I would draw you a nicer diagram, but I hope that gives you the idea.

I'm not an expert on networking, but this should work? I know how to set up filesharing and printer sharing.

So if you could just check over and make sure I am not wasting my time, that'd be cool.

Thanks.
James.
