Proxy problem

I am trying to use a progam called eTax released by the australian tax department so i can lodge my tax forms over the internet (and it will automatically figure out if im due a refund).

My isp is from my university and only allows access outside of the uni network through their proxy server. Problem is there does not appear to be anyway i can get this program to use the proxy.

Is there anyway i can force programs to use the proxy server for outside internet access? This is not the first time i've encountered this problem.

Do you mean that your college has an internet connection and then uses a proxy to serve it out on the LAN? If so, the program should just be able to connect. What do you have for options / prefrences in eTax?
