hi i have wierd problem where i double click to run a program and it runs but then it closes again so fast that you won't even know it started. i know its not the programs that is causing the problem because the problem would exist on one version and not another. for instance i can't run blindwrite 5 but i can run blindwrite 4.4. this happens on random programs and its getting so annoying. plz help! thanks in advance for anyhelp.

o i think i saw a thread like this here before but im not sure. i couldn't find it in search. if you guys find it can you please direct me to it?

I know the thread, but can't find it. I believe the issue was some sort of spyware or virus. Have you done the normal scans?

Yes, the infamous 'super fast close'. This is almost always a virus, spyware, or trojan. Download AVG AntiVirus, run a full system scan, and then get AdAware and run that as well.

Hi,

Have you ran spybot Or Hijackthis.

Spybot: http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/...10-17-21.shtml

Hijackthis: http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/...10-17-69.shtml

If you download them update them before you run them.

Delete everything spybot finds. And post a log of what hijackthis finds DO NOT delete anything that hijackthis finds, as most things are needed to run your system.

The log looks fine. You sure the Anti-virus scanner is up-to-date? I think S Walch had an answer to this issue.
