problems with installing win98

I've got s computer thats about 6 years old with a pentium 2 to put things into perspective. I thought it would be a good idea (since i've had it for so long) to format the hard drives and reinstall windows to fix some of the minor problems i've been having with it over the years. So I formated the drives and reinstalled windows without much problem, but now when I boot the computer I get an error message in dos stating that it cannot find vnetbios.vxd and that certain windows programs will not work correctly without it. There are also numerous other problems i'm having loading drivers and the like (the computer acts like it can't find the files even though I know they are there because i've used them before).

Just wondering if anybody could help me,

vnetbios.vxd usually deals with Windows Networking. If you do not have a network, uninstall the Microsoft Network client. Its been awhile for me when it comes to Windows 98, but this should fix your problem.

Make sure you install all of the drivers for your hardware as well.
