Problems Downloading Videos

Ok, everytime I download a video (in this case a Red vs. Blue one) the download goes as normal, but half-way through the thing, it stops and says that the download is complete when it isn't.

Like today, I tried to download an episode that was 48 mb, and the download stopped at 38 md and said it was complete. I can watch through only half of it, and it has no sound, so obviously is ISN'T complete like it says.

Everytime I try to re-download it, it finishes in a mere second, and still is incomplete.
***?? It is really making me mad. Does anyone know what it could be?

Why don't you try a differant browser, like Opera (www.opera.com) and see if the download still doesn't finish.

i can understand your need for RvB, you can try completly empting yourcache by (ie) tools/internet options/ general tab, clear history, anddelete files. (mozilla firefox) tools/ options / privacy, clear all(mozilla) edit/ pref/ privacy, clear all. That may work

Ok, now I have a bigger problem then I thought. It apparently doesn't just effect videos, because the opera download was cut short too.

It started acting up after I download WinRar. Could that have something to do with it?

this may be a stupid question, but is your connection capped at 38MBper session? did you try it with firefox? i don't think itcould be winrar....i don't see a connection unless the files you aredownloading are .zip or .rar files. does this happen withstreaming videos?

I found something at the microsoft site about zip files not saving to your computer, and that helped with the smaller videos, but yes, my internet connection maxes at 41kbps, so I think I'm just screwed with the larger videos.
