Problem with my video card...

I dont know anything about computers so if you offer any help dumb it down for me. Basically I cant play and DVD on my desktop. My primary player is WMP 11, but I cant play them on any of my players. This is the error that I am receiving.

Windows Media Player cannot play the video because there is a problem with your video card. You've encountered error message C00D10BD while using Windows Media Player. Original Error Code: 887601C2.

I uninstalled and reinstalled my video card. (Or I think I did....) I dont know if I did it successfully or not but it still wont play DVD anyways.

Help me out if you can. Thanks.

Have you tried updating windows media player and your video card drivers?

It also looks like DVD X Copy can cause this problem if you have that installed

to update the video card drivers, you will need to check the make/model of your video card, then go to the manufacurer's website, and look for the appropriate driver update.

Or, at a totally different guess, there might be a problem with the drive itself

Do you have a DVD Codec installed?
Do a google search for the 'Klite Codec pack' and download the mega codec pack-it will include a piece of software to play back DVD's.

I've been looking around, and this seems to be an issue with WMP11.

Some people have had success by re-installing WMP

Or you could eschew WMP entirely, as I did, and use Media Player Classic instead.
