Problem activating xp

I tried to set up a dual boot with win2000 and winXP on my computer. It didn't work, so I wanted just to go back to WinXP. It wouldn't let me repair, it just started to install again. I decided to let it do its thing and I would reformat later. Well when it asked me to activate I said it could, but it could not find my broadband internet conection. It also gave me 0 days to acivate so I can't do anything now.

Ok got it working but it is far from fixed. Everything is slow now. The welcome screen now has some stupid animation to it, scrolling up and down on the internet it messed up; it is like it goes down very slow and choppy, and when closing things like ie, my computer, etc. they kind of close from the top to bottom. The broadband internet lags, I just want everything back to dell's default settings.

why do you whant to dual boot with 2000/ Xp? there almost the same thing!!! i can see a person dual booting with windows and linux... But a widows and windows.....well maybe some older version but 2000 and XP are baseed on teh exact same thing!!!

also how much ram you have? your going to need alot for dual boot .... and also you need lastest graphis drivers, bios.....
to get back to dells settings you can get boot discks, you did make a boot disc before you did all this? or from them when you bought the computer..... im not too sure but if you call them they will send you a recovery disc i believe...
