Printer Trouble

I'm at work and on my laptop I have a Minolta 2300DL network printer that we all use. Last night, all of my printers were deleted. I don't have the network printer, I don't have the printer connected to a co-workers desktop, I don't have my Adobe PDF converter, I don't even have the fax!
I've tried to reinstall the software for the network printer, but it just hangs up during the installation. I've gone in the settings to the printers and that folder is empty. And when I click on the "View Installer Printers" or "Add Printer" is says, "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running"

Ideas on how to fix this?

The print spooler service can be found and activated/de-activated by going to Start > Run, and typing "msconfig." It's under the Services tab, about three-quarters of the way down.

Thank you, I've gone and looked and it is already "checked", but it's status is "stopped". Am I missing a step to activate?

EDIT: Now I have a pop-up dialog box that reads, "Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Start > run > Services.msc

Find the printer spool, right mouse click on it click on properties. There should be a start button or something.

That worked. Although it tried to do it again. It seems I had a document that my print spooler didn't like. So between it working and then crashing, I was able to purge the document and it seems okay now.

Thanks Goober!
