Pps

Hi guys my friend has got office 2002 and can't get pps to work so he has removed it and reinstalled it and it still won't work any ideas what the problem is cheers..weman4u

Hi Crytoboats sorry to take so long to get back I was away ..my friends computer details are

AMD SEMPERON 2800 +
768 RAM
80GB H/D

He said that when he clicks to download PPS it comes up but just flashes up it don't seem to download anything

Try downloading and installing the latest PowerPoint Viewer 2007
from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=048DC840-14E1-467D-8DCA-19D2A8FD7485&displaylang=en and see if that helps.

Powerpoint 2002 may not support the powerpoint presentation that you are trying to view (if it was made using a newer version of PP).

Follow Core's advice. If that doesn't work let us know.

I agree with Crimson, some new powerpoints will work in backwards compatibility mode in older depending on what features were used in the document.

Try using the latest PP viewer and see if that resolves the issue.
