I just came into some money through inheritance and decided i would finally fufill my dream of owning an Alienware system that isn't stolen.
Before committing my hard earned dinero to Alienware (and BTW the exchange rate freakin sux, tho' it has got better since Iraq, he he) i had a thought: what the -yummy- kind of Voltage/Ampage do you guys get at the wall socket, i mean i realised i was gonna need a converter for the physical prongs, but over here in NZ we run 240V/5A...
hmmm.

We run a 110v....You have a computer right there, theres no real reason you couldn't just swap the power supply...? Or get some kind of electrical adaptor.

Yep, if you look on the back of your power supply, theres a red switch for 115/230. Switch it to 230 and use your adapter for the power cord and you [i:4c938c102e]should[/i:4c938c102e] be all set.

yeah it doesn't matter anyway, i emailed someone from alienware and they said they can throw in a APC power converter/backup for about $15.
thanks anyway though.
