PHPBB Troubles

Alright, I finally got PHPBB2 installed, and now I have to do General Administration. How do I do this? What file do I have to open? I've never done anything like this before, so I'm a tad bit confused. I thought I would have to go to:
mydomain.com/phpBB2/admin/index.php
But apparently that's not right.

I would first rename phpBB2 to phpbb or forums, it's easier to get to.

I tried to get to the admin section and it redirected me to an install screen. Does your host support MySQL and PHP?

It doesn't act like it's installed properly. Did you remove the install files/folder after you installed it?

I moved this to software, since this is forum software.

Yes, I removed the install stuff. My host does support PHP/MySQL, and they're actually the ones who installed it for me (I couldn't get it to work right). That's the problem I'm having is that I'm being redirected to an install screen. I think I'll contact my host about that.

If you want, I can look at your config file. PM me to let me know if you don't want it displayed here. Your host could of left something out too like you suggested.

Hmm, I cannot find the board at all. Maybe it's been temporarily removed.

I could install it for you, I play with phpbb all the time and have installed 20-30 of them... But because of the information you'd have to share with me for me to be able to do that, you'll probably want to go with your host's assistance.

Write back and tell us how it's going.

Where is the config file?

EDIT: If it's config.php, I just looked at it and it's blank.

You are supposed to create a mysql database through your host and assign a username to it...

Then you must enter that info into the config file for phpbb.

How would I go about doing that? What do I put in the config file?

Apparently there was an error during the installation. I have to reinstall now.
