My favourite on this line is a story of four engineers on the way to a
conference.
The car breaks down on the motorway. The first engineer says that he
thinks that the problem lies in the car's fuel system. Cleaning out the
car's fuel lines should solve the problem. He was a chemical engineer.
The second engineer reckoned that the car's electrical system had got
damp and should be dried out. He was an electrical engineer.
The third engineer thought that the rings were gone and needed to be
replaced. He was a mechanical engineer.
The fourth engineer said that he did not know what was wrong, but if
they switched off, all got out of the car, then get back in and
restarted the engine everything would be fine. He was a Microsoft Field
Support Engineer.
