Pay or Free

Would you pay for something if you got more features or stay with a free version?

Depends on what the something is and what the add-ons are. I would never pay for things such as IRC clients when there will always be free ones around. For me it depends on the benefits and the costs.

Same here.

I'll pay for hosting, definitely, but not for like an IRC client or an FTP client.

I would most likely pick the free one. One of my biggest examples is antivirus. I don't see how someone would pay money for Norton or Mcafee when AVG or AntiVir are so much lighter and do a better job in my opinion. I also use the Gimp instead of buying photo shop and would be using OpenOffice if my pc didn't come with a copy of MS Office.

I pay for things I use that I think are awesome. I won't pay for things without trying it though.

Like the others have said, if the pay version has something that would make my life easier, then I would pay, but thats only if there is no way to get the pay version for free ...
