Once more out of ideas!

I have just reformatted a friend's computer and have everything else sorted but once more, the wireless card is giving me grief. The card seems to be extremely obscure and out of date and the manufacturer's website is less than helpful. It is a:

Winbond Electronics Corp. W89C33D 802.11 a/b/g wireless adapter

I have googled this name and other variations countless times to no avail. I have used PCWizard to determine what the card is however am now stuck. All of the links on google are to Linux help websites for this card, which does not help me at all!

Any ideas will be appreciated, thanks!

Was this an after market card that he purchased, or did it come with his computer? Also is it PCI? Or USB? Or is it for a laptop PCMCIA slot?

It's a miniPCI card which came with the computer which he purchased from Medion. Medion have no support for his laptop though...which is annoying!

Hope that helps!
