Odd MP3 corruption(?) problem
I've been experiencing an odd problem. MP3s copied onto DVD-R and then copied back to the hard drive cannot be played. WinAmp doesn't say anything, just refuses to play them back, but WMP11 claims that they are in an unknown format, regardless of the .mp3 extension.
This has happened before, and I don't understand what could be causing this. It seems unlikely that entire folders of MP3s would just get corrupted by being copied onto DVD-R and back....doesn't it?

Sounds like DRM might be kicking in and disabling your MP3's. Where are the MP3's from? A CD, iTunes or another source?

Cd rip from ways before. Shouldn't be DRM... I dunno. I don't know a lot about DRM to be honest, I steer clear from it whenever possible.

You could actually be running into Media Errors-run a media check on it with Nero.
