I need to update my graphics card but im not really sure which 1 to get.

I need a powerfull 1 to play doom3 on high graphics with ease

I'm an ATI fan myself. I have the 9800 Pro card, and it runs Doom III without any problems on high settings @ 1152x864.

Right now I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. I really wish I would have went with the 9800 instead, and on my next computer I might just try a Nvidia.

Doom III runs excellent on the 4.8's.

If this is specifically to play Doom get an nVidia 6800 series, they run Doom 3 better than the ATIs, and i can show you the benchmarks. Although that is not when the ATI are running the new 4.8 drivers, so I'm not entirely sure if that turns the tables.
