Need help with a mutated spider

Sounds funny don't it?

Ok, here's the score. those of you who pay attention here will know that i'm a filmaker. I am currently waiting for the right time to film my 'There is' film, and as a result, i can now start woking on my next film, a Cyberpunk film.

The basic plot is this: It's a computer virus that infects and kills humans. There is a mutated spider/bot on the net, that hacks websites with this link 'Click here for killer music tracks' and also infects mp3 files by adding a wave sound hidden within the file that when listened to, messes with the mind, thus killing the person. When an attempt is made to delete or contain the spider, it retailiates, taking control of whole computer networks and buildings linked to them. a few people get killed off in the process.
Note: this idea is mine, and as such, i retain the copyright to it.

Now i need some technical speak to use in the film about how a spider can mutate, and how one could control websites and hack files. If someone here could be the technical side of the spiders and help me out, that would be great, and you would also get credit in the film, and of course, a copy of the film.

sorry, i forgot to make it clear, it's a cyber spider, like a web robot, like what google uses, but only it's evil

so the amount of ways it could mutate are pretty endless then. a pretty simple but bad example could be that a hacker took control of it.

its kind of hard to get a story going with this unless you can think of something creative

as for how it can hack files, you could make it so that its a hybrid of every possible bug/virus/malware/trojan.

i'm just interested to know how it can spread to humans.

Well, to crib yet more from the story from which I suspect this idea originated, the virus could have infected the networks of an experimental facility working on nanobots, and thus spread to the nanobots themselves.

Whoops. Forgot about that. That means it doesn't spread to humans like an organic virus, it just kills 'em.

exactly, I wanted to come up with a unique idea.

I have more plot now.
The virus has killed a student. the student's friend twigs that it's the spider that's done it, so he lures the spider into his computer in an attempt to trap and kill it, but it takes control of his system, when he takes his computer to the college tech (dumb thing for him to do i know) it infects the whole college network, and controls the swipe card access system.

this is the abriged version of my plot btw, as i'm V busy at the mo with various films in various stages of development. I'll keep it posted

thats a good structure but its a bit predictable. try approaching it in a way that will surprise the audience.
