Need administrative account

I was trying to be smart about a month ago and had heard it's safer to use a non-administrative account while online. I wasn't to smart, made my account a non-administrative and forgot to make another administrative account as I had in the past. Can anyone please help me, would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Kim

It is a good idea to do this, but not the way you have described...

If you right click on My Computer | Manage | Users and Groups | Groups | Double click on the Administrators Group, are there any accounts in that group?

If not, there really is nothing you can do besides running a repair install of XP.

Try your normal passwords and even no password.

If you log out and do not see the admin account, press ctrl alt del twice and from there you will have to type in admisitrator as the user name.

the account is still there, just don't remember password, so if I can't get in with no password press control, alt and delete at the same time twice, thanks

lol. I should have been a little more clear... On the welcome screen (where you are able to click on your account and login) if your admin account or any other acount that has admin power, is not there then you press c+a+d twice. This brings up the standard NT login box.
