mini-site for my 'Spider' film

As part of my professional practice documentation for my degree, I'm required to promote myself, including building myself a website.

Now for the release of my film, I've made/making a mini-site dedicated to my film, 'Spider'. If you guys wouldn't mind, could you go and have a gander, maybe tell me what you think of the general design. Please bear in mind the content is somewhat lacking as of yet, but will be finalized soon. thanks

Like the Films by Nick logo and the Spider header. I kind of don't like the 200px indent of all of the text. Looks kind of awkward with the gray space on the left side.

Also, it is all kind of gray...too gray. It makes me depressed. Unless that is what you were going for. If so, good work.

I'm not aiming to depress people with the feel of the website, but the film is quite dark.
The 200 px indent is where I'm going to have some images/flash banner running down the page, I just haven't made those images yet.

I like that logo too, I look forward to being able to watch the film on the site too

I was going to suggest some colour, but if it's for a dark film then it doesn't really make sense

Ah...gotcha on the images and the 200px area. One other thing I just noticed, maybe a little more margin on the text inside the gray box. The text looks kind of close to the edge. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Thats a good point, I need to add some cellpadding to the main content box.

Ian, if you REALLY NEED to see the trailer for my film, you can always check out my YouTube page

Too grey, text too close to the edge, under the arg page I would suggest making the site www.BCCTU.org linked. Maybe if you used the spider red color some where else in the page it wouldnt seem so bland...

thanks for the colour idea, I might re-design the layout, as I really cant find anything that looks good to put in the left of the page, so I'll try to incorporate the red of the spider logo, or some blue borders, like the computer screens have in the film

I like the red in the spider logo. Anytime I hear you talk about the video red and black pop into my mind (I know typical black widow colors, but what can I say).

right, www.spider.filmsbynick.com/layouttest.php is not amazing, but gives a rough idea of table border being red on black
