Memory Card Brand

The 1GB memory card that I currently have has been acting a little funny recently, and since I am going on a vacation to Seattle in August and going to Europe for a month in January, I think it is time to replace it. I am looking for a 2GB SD card, but I really don't know what brand to buy.

I am willing to pay more for reliability. When I am in Europe I will have no way to transfer these pictures off the memory card and I would not enjoy having 1000's of my pictures just disappear. Thanks all.

It seems to me that Kingston is the best quality and still cheap, the only other brands I've had are fuji and non name brands. My fuji cards have yet to give me any trouble whereas I had constant problems with the no name cards (I think bluenotes or something is the one in my PDA)

Using a 1GB Kingston myself and am very happy with its reliability and performance. Incidentally, my RAM is Kingston as well. It's just a good brand, not overly expensive and yet not lowbrow enough to be the Wal-Mart of the memory industry.

I have found Fuji to be quite good, and San-Disk as well

Sandisk has always been my choice and many other peoples choices as well. The extreme models are what I go for when purchasing a memory card for my camera, they are great in all temperature conditions, use, wear and tear, etc.

If I could I would get a San-Disk card as well, everything else has been said about them. Right now I think Im using a 2GB Lexar card, it has yet to give me any trouble.
