linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:SHRegGetValueW

I pretty much know nothing about computers. I wanted my computer to be fast for Sims 2, and did this clean-up thing that ended up deleting my WordPad. I downloaded it again, but I needed a certain DLL file. I downloaded that, and it then said:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wordpad.exe

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

AND

The WORDPAD.EXE file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:SHRegGetValueW

I already have SHLWAPI.DLL, and they're in the same folder and everything, but it still says this. I would really like to be able to open WordPad again... someone please help.

Disk Cleanup

Disk cleanup. I went into My Computer, right-clicked on Drive C, and went to properties and then clicked Disk Cleanup. I didn't realize that it would delete programs, so I checked all the catagories (temporary internet files, accessories, etc.) off, and deleted them all. Whoops.
I don't have a Windows 98 CD to reinstall the program, or the DLL. What can I do?

Well, it's the only program I want that is misbehaving. I don't have Paint anymore either, and maybe some other programs. I don't really care about them though.

Without the disk you're probably out of luck. You might have to take it somewhere and have Win98 reinstalled.
