LG Muziq Camera Problem

Just received two Muziqs from Sprint. One of them takes pictures that does not look right. I am hoping this is something simple to fix.

It adds green noise into the pictures, but it doesn't look random. Maybe there's a color profile issue or something... B&W pics look normal. Any ideas?

ouch, thats not normal. does this happen on an auto setting too? If so, I think there might be a problem with the CCD. It looks to me like when the camera sees a certain shade, it goes crazy, which would indicate to me a CCD chip problem.

The only auto setting is for white balance, but yeah, it's on auto. The preview looks fine, it's only the picture itself that, once taken, looks all messed up.

In camcorder mode, shooting video, it looks normal. Would that still be consistent with a faulty CCD chip?

not to my knowledge it wouldn't, this is quite odd, I haven't experienced this type of problem before.
It could be some weird issue with image compression then, which would explain why it happens on still images, but not video clips

I think you're onto something there. Either way, I RMA'd the phone back to Sprint after they sent me a new one that actually works.
