Hi

I have a long text message exchange with an ex-employee that I would
very much like to be able to save as a file or print out. Is there any way
to do this?

Thanks

Chris

Copy and paste it into an email and send it to your computer would seem the
simplest way assuming you referring to a text message on an Iphone with 3.0
or higher firmware installed.

on a mac it's in the mobile sync folder in app support. no idea on
windows. the contents of that folder is not that easy to figure out,
but you can use any of a number of utilities to extract the messages,
such as iphone backup extractor. the messages are in a sqlite database.

1) under messages/edit,
2) select all messages that you want the content off.
3) click 'Forward'
4) a new screen which allows you to MMS apprears, in this screen select,
and copy the text.
5) press 'cancel'
6) goto 'Mail', and in the messagebody, 'Paste' the text...

Or copy and paste into Notes, and print using one of the third-party
printing apps.

Yes I did think about that - but the `simplest` is the email route as
printing via a third party app normally involves installing an app AND
software on the computer the printer is plugged into.

A bit of a hassle for printing just one text conversation.

Oh, your printer doesn't have WiFi capabilities. I guess that it's not a
good solution then.

My printer set-up isn't really relevant is it? ;-)
