For me, this isn't actually a problem by itself, but iTunes isn't
always seeing the insertion of a CD.
iTunes 8.0.1 in XP Pro SP3.
The reason why it's not actually a problem for me is that I don't use
iTunes to play CDs, I use Winamp. But iTunes SHOULD be seeing the
insertion of the disk, show it in the sources list and attempt to get
the track info. Winamp does.
I thought it might be an issue of not having the system focus when the
disk is inserted, but making sure that iTunes has the system focus made
no difference.
If you're wondering why iTunes is open when I'm using Winamp, it's
because I'm using Winamp to play and rip CDs, and I then drag the mp3
files into iTunes to be added to my music collection. I do it this way
because Winamp provides a higher quality rip.
