Extracting DVD audio ==> MP3 to play on iPhone

I have downloaded multiple DVD's of concerts such as: U2, Luther Vandross,
Marvin Gaye, Jefferson Airplane, Madonna, The Beatles, etc. Most of those
DVD concerts have 5.1 audio tracks. Those concerts sound great on my home
theatre.

I have looked for mp3 audio of those concerts on iTunes. Audio from those
concerts are not available on iTunes. For some reasons artists pull out all
the stops when in front of a crowd and their music sounds better.

The question is: is there any way to extract audio from those concerts and
convert them to MP3 files so I can sync them on my iPhone 3GS?

That would be just great if somehow I was able to do that.

Decided to follow-up on my own post. Found someone willing to rip audio
from VOB files on my music DVD's into MP3's so I can load them on my iPhone
3GS. They are gonna charge me $5 for each disc. Not bad me thinks.
