Calendar opens with no events shown

My Calendar often opens with no events shown. It's in month view,
and refreshes by me going to another month and back, so it's no big
deal.

Have others had this happen to them?

Yes, it took a few missed appointments before I realized it was happening.
Anybody have a fix?

Yes, me too. This has been irritating me for a few months now.
