any body can give me details about what is DID(direct internationl dialling )number and hw it wrks what we need to start this,and also info about ports transfor or coding.looking for response. thanks every body Exx

DID actually stands for Direct Inward Dialing. When I've set this up in the past you have a PBX (private branch exchange-either a commercial product purchased by your company or Asterisk) which you connect to a PRI (voice T1-basically a special network connection that has 16? voice lines on it). The phone company sends a digital signal containing the phone number people are dialing so the PBX can figure out who to send the call to.
