I have None responsive Programs after a Fresh XP install.

Last weekend I battled w/ a trojan and lost. When things turn really sour I decided to just reinstall windows.
Now I have a few programs that wont load. DVD shrink, A DVR viewer/editer, and win excel names a few. Clicking the shortcut does'nt get a response. Going to program files and clicking the exe does'nt either. However I can run these programs from a cd. I tried openning them from run and cmd still nothing.
Does anybody have any ideas? I have'nt installed sp2 yet. I'm having some problems getting it to DL. But I know I ran these programs on sp1 before.

For some programmes you can copy the installation folder, burn it onto a CD, and then run the programme via the CD

I have the programs copied on cd. I can open the folders and load the exe into memory. This is a drag having to insert a disc to run a program.
