Dimension 5150 - conroe?

Does a dimension 5150 support conroe processors?

Has anyone tried?

I have read earlier in the forum that intel i945 boards do not support conroe, yet
asus claims boards with this chip do!

The board is an intel i945g/gz according to cpu-z

Another sections states you need a PCB r2 mother board!
