I have looked through pretty much all the forums and havent seen anything on this topic. I want to set my scroll button on my mouse to act as a back button for IE. I used to have it as part of a driver for an old now defunct mouse that I had but I cant find anything that tells me how to set it up without reinstalling the software. Anothe rcool feature with having the scroll button to act as a back button was it would go "up one folder" in windows too. I found it very very handy. Also sort of related is the amount of scren travel the pointer gets in relation to the actual hand movement. How do I increase the distance it travels on the screen with less hand movement?

I thought it was simple...but I dont think so....

I am not sure how you assign the scroll button a function. But to change the speed of the mouse go to Start | Control Panel | Mouse | Pointer Options | Drag the bar to where you find comfortable. I have mine on as fast as it can go. You might be able to assign a function to the scroll wheel under the Wheel Tab, but on my mouse I can't.

There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it's all dark.

If you have a Microsoft mouse you can go to microsofts website and download their driver kit which gives you the ability to configure buttons to do as you will. Logitech also has a similar program, available on their website.

I do not know of any, but what Fenis-Wolf has to offer are good ideas, and you can go to "download.com" and search for what they have to offer

Yeah, I just went to downloads.com and you might want to try Logitech MouseWare. I realize that you don't have a Logitech mouse but you can still try it.

You can use the Generic MS Mouse driver or try what Josh suggested.

I used to be able to right click on a web page and be able to scroll up and down a web page with clicking on anything. There was a symbol with an arrow that pointed up and pointed down and it would allow the person to scroll in either direction by simply moving the mouse. How do I get this symbol to come back? It's funny, simple little things can drive a person crazy.........and I don't have far to go.

If you have a scroll wheel try pressing and holding it.
