I have heard about it from other sources. I am downloading it right now. Looks pretty good. Now I just gotta bust out a controller or something

Sooo i downloaded and played it and its a pretty good game. I really want to use one of my older racing joysticks or controllers but the adapter on them is a 15 pin and my new laptop with vista has nothing on it. I thought about buying a USB adapter but im afraid that my joystick wont work with Vista since its like 10 years old(no lie) Its a Microsoft SideWinder 3D Pro. I researched it and people claim they have gotten it to work on XP but then once there in the game it just stops working three mins later while in game. Does anyone have any experience with this Joystick?

I wouldnt mind buying the USB adapter but if it wont work then Id rather not waste my money. Also I have no idea on new joysticks or controllers. I think I would rather have a controller but if people claim joysticks work better for racing games then id get a joystick. Can anyone recommend a cheap good one that works well with vista? Thanks

IMHO, I'd go with a 360 controller, but if you want a joysick, I cant halp you there.

You can buy a mad catz controller, but the quality thats been put into the 360 controllers is the quality that has been placed into the snes.

As far as I know, it's a USB controller so just plug it in and download these drivers (if it isn't detected automatically)

hmmm well all I have is a 360 wireless controller. Anyway of getting this to work on my computer or am i just going to have to go buy the wired one?

I looked online and found this released by microsoft: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-.../dp/B000HZFCT2

I read some reviews and some people who had Vista claim it works well and other say they had no luck with it. Its only $20 bucks but still, I hate throwing money away on something that wont work.

Yep, that should work if you have a wireless controller. Not bad for $20

I have Vista, works flawlessly! Both a wired controller and a wireless controller.
