Few misc XP questions

1. How can I disable error reporting ("X program has encountered a problem and had to close. Send microsoft report" etc)

2. I have an icon on my desktop that is undeletable and I don't want it on th desktop. What's the name of that program you could d/l that would go into your control panel and allow you to hide icons on the desktop?

Hmm this seems to be 3 questions...

1. Open up System Properties, Advanced Tab, Error Reporting, Click on the radio button that says "Disable Error Reporting"

2. Pocket Killbox or Delete FXP, both are in the handy tools section.

3. TweakUi, its a "power toy"

Hmm upon re-reading your post, I read it a different way, so depending if its a system icon, you can use TweakUI, or one of the two previously mentioned programs if its some random file/folder.

Thanks Goober. It was TweakUI I was after. Just had my laptop repaired and they replaced the HD so I lost all my previous programs.
