hi,

i recently bought a Saitek evo force joystick but i cant install the drivers to run the **** thing!!!

every time i try to install it i get to the point in the setup screen where it says plug in the device you want to install and the my laptop crashes!!!

i have a compaq 2500 presario 2541eu win xp home sp2

the software is not the problem because i tried to install it on my computer at work to make sure it was working-and it installed no problem

so im thinking now-can this joystick even be insalled on a laptop???

i get a bue screen when it crashes filled with info but the machine goes into reboot before i can read it all. and when i sent the serious error thingy to microsoft they said that a device driver caused the problem. an showed me this message:

Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q29307

i followed the instructions microsoft gave me i.e. 'Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to None, and then clear the Enable Write Combining check box.' and tried to install it again but the same thing keeps happening!!

please someone help!!! when i installed on my work coputer i got to the test page and got to feel all the vibrations so i just cant wait to try it out on a game!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

thanks.......
