C-Evo is rather more fun than freeciv because the AI doesn't cheat. Do
make sure you use a custom AI though or it'll be too easy.

Arena is a pretty nice alternative to Winboard if you enjoy playing chess.

And, of course, some (old?) flavour of MAME, or one of the other emulators.

I know it's not free but it should be quite cheap these days, the
original Command and Conquer is pretty goot for passing time and I used
to run it on a P120 with 64MB so should be good for you.
