This case rocks! Literally...
Just built up an Athlon 64 machine in the silver version of this case
and it sure moves. The construction is such that most of the aluminum
used in its manufacture is concentrated in the heavy front door. The
material used in the remainder of the case is so thin that the base of
the unit in conjunction with its four feet, acts rather like a spring.
When the case is fully loaded with motherboard, drives, etc you barley
need to touch the case to set it in motion. I hate to think what the
long term effect on hard disks, cd-drives,etc of physical movement would be.
My opinion is that computers should be rock steady, certainly not
vibrate on the slightest touch.
This case is going back to the supplier.
Anyone else have experience of these units? Maybe I received a duff unit
that shouldn't have passed quality control.
JMHO.....
