Autopatcher woes

I downloaded and ran this program. Wish I had not. It seems to have
screwed up this comp as I cannot uninstall progs. It seems to conflict
with Microsoft Office. On my two spare comps I found that by removing
Office then reinstalling it no more probs. On this comp I cant -
despite two system restores I keep getting the message This patch
package could not be opened. I have just downloaded Windows Installer
and ran - but no joy? Lost.
