Daylight Saving Time change 2007

On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.

What does this mean for you? There may be issues concerning your electronic devices such as: VCRs, DVRs, Computers, Windows, Linux, PDAs, etc. Check with each of the manufacturers to see if they have issue any type of update for your hardware.

Microsoft has released patches for their software and you can retrieve them from Microsoft Update. You can also use a tool that MS has released to help you determine what exactly needs to be taken care of. http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst

Just to add to this, I believe Apple released some updates for OS X as well. These are available under the normal software updates in the Apple menu.

Yes they did. I just updated all of our Macs (even the server) on Friday to the newest java version and operating system level. They are releasing patches all the way back to 10.3.9.
