I can't find any windows7 newsgroups on my news server.
Are there any microsoft.public.[win7-related] groups out there?

Thanks

No - MS seem to have given up on new newsgroups and gone to forums -
see here:-

http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...egory/windows7

There is a non-MS one:-

alt.windows7.general

but not all servers carry it.

These are some that do carry it

news.albasani.net
nntp.aioe.org
news.datemas.de

There are probably others.

Ask your server to add it - I did and got it.

My server (News.Individual.SE) has (searched on "windows7"):

alt.nl.os.windows.windows7
alt.windows7.general
it.comp.os.win.windows7
microsoft.public.it.windows7

Microsoft itself seems to have nothing
(<http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us>), but you can
of course ask in one of the general Windows groups if they (will) have
Windows7 specific groups.
