Just had an interesting message in regards to SP3

.................................................. .......................

Microsoft have recently released a windows xp service pack 3.

During our tests, this patch, crashes Toshiba and year 7 laptops when
applied. Year 8 laptops run much quicker with it applied and without
problems.

************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ******

To avoid a mass problem:

Please DO NOT update using the microsoft update site and DO NOT apply
automatically downloaded updates.

************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ******

When we find why it causes problems or when microsoft re-releases it we
will send it out.

I Suppose, I not really surprised
And with so many Beta tests and for so long testing
M$ must be spending more time/money writing patches than
the original software took to write.

Was it Released or did it Escape.......

That's the official release on the update site.

There is variants of it . 66mb auto download, then the 500mb full ISO
and some developers type 350mb.

I downloaded the full ISO and that didn't work then on another PC tried
the 66mb version - that didn't work either.

Couldn't pursue anymore too many PC's to repair and get SP2 working
again correctly. It seems to load some files which don't reverse which
interfere with SP2. Ill sort it out, one way or another, did someone
say the L word

If only 1,000,000 people downloaded 350,000,000 bytes that's only
350,000,000,000,000 bytes or 350 Terra Bytes. So if the
Internet gets a TAD slow you'll know why.

Maybe a Mag will put it a CD
