Simple question re Yahoo Messenger

Hi

There are some Yahoo services including Messenger that I can't seem to
access via Optus Broadband - it seems to have something to do with the
invisible proxies.

I'm looking at setting up a dialup account with another ISP specifically to
use Messenger and cam and would like to know who to use - as I would not
want to set another one up only to find they too have invisible proxies....

Any suggestions? Alphalink? Iprimus? Dodo?

I don't really think you have to go that far.
I'm sure you should be able to use the yahoo services from
your Optus broadband account.
I don't know for sure but it doesn't make sense for
you not to be able to, I would be checking your local
setup for something that is causing the problem such as
hardware/software setups, firewall, port forwarding/blocking
Some antivirus or antispyware software may even cause
these services not to work properly.
I cant see it being the case that nobody on Optus broadband
could use these yahoo services.
