Hi everyone...

Thanks for everyone's help in my last post...

Anyway, I went and bought a new motherboard and cpu and put them all
together...

Went to turn it on, it turns on for 2 seconds and then switches off
itself...and nothing happens, can't switch it on again unless I pull the
plug and the speakers (one in the case) makes a smoke alarm kinda noise...

Anyone know what could be wrong...I'm pretty sure I've plugged everything in
all properly...

Once again, all suggestion is appreciated...

Thanks...

Did you buy RAM for your new computer. It won't work without RAM

Usually constant beeping "like a smoke alarm" would be RAM

Had a similar scenario a while ago, thought it was the ram slots as moving
them around seemed to make a difference, however it turned out to be a psu
problem, basically not enough grunt.

Wot's this? A helpful post! Are you sure you're in the right place? I
thought you were supposed to have 3 guesses then talk about your own failed
installs before posting something that could be of any real use.
