Hey, can somebody tell me what contrast index means, in the context of lcd
tft monitors? Is a high ratio better or worse? Eg. is 400:1 better or
worse than 800:1?

We're looking at getting new monitors for a photo lab and want to get
monitors that have the widest tonal range.

Thanks!

You need a monitor that is colour approved. Try Apple or Samsung.
