Codex's Chess Set

I'm working on modeling a chess set in Cinema 4D. Instead of hijacking Spike's "Post your creations" thread, I'll put my WIP shots here. Comments are always welcome.

Here's the Pawn, from before:

Here's the Bishop. It's basically a taller pawn with a knob on.

Looks very nice. Just out of curiosity, how much time is it taking you to do each piece?

I would guess (I didn't actually time it) that the pawn took roughly forty minutes. The bishop probably took closer to half an hour, since I reused most of the pawn's geometry, resizing and moving elements when needed and adding the knob and boole for the slot. The scene for the renders took another twenty minutes or so to set up (you'll notice that I'm reusing the lighting, environment, and material settings).

You did pique my curiosity, so I timed myself while working on the Rook. 21 minutes, 9 seconds:

Hah...that is funny.

I suppose you are getting faster and faster each time you make one too.

That's very good codex, you are really quite talented with this, have you made any animations yet?

Why thank you. I've done a few simple animations (explorations of the mechanics, really, not finished products). A couple can be found buried in the "Post your creations thread."

As a matter of fact...

I managed to lose the bishop's file, by the way, so I'll have to redo it. Hopefully I'll get to that as well as the king and queen tonight.

Redid the bishop:
